Pemros Road, Bus Gate - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving For Tunnel Upgrade Works

What is happening?

PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (PEMROS ROAD (BUS GATE))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Plymouth City Council acting under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intend to make an Order the effect of which is:

1. To suspend the bus gate on:

Pemros Road - between Normandy Hill and Tamar Bridge Visitor Centre

2. To close the bus gate on:
Pemros Road - between Normandy Hill and Tamar Bridge Visitor Centre

The prohibition of driving will be in operation on the days and during the hours that the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. The Order shall come into force on 15th September 2025 and shall continue in force for a maximum of 18 months

It is anticipated that the Saltash Tunnel upgrade works will commence on the 15th September 2025 until 22nd September 2025 20:00 - 06:00
