What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C324 PLAYFORD ROAD, CULPHO

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C324 Playford Road, Culpho from the pond at Culpho Hall for 150 metres eastbound to facilitate telecommunication pole testing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Playford Road, Ipswich Road, Woodbridge Road, the B1079, the C324, Hall Farm Road, Boot Street, Playford Mount, Bealings Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 14/08/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4606 BROWN STREET, OLD NEWTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4606 Brown Street, Old Newton from the junction with Chapel Road to nos. 1 and 2 Fairfield to facilitate telecommunication wire transfer works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Brown Street, Hundred Lane, Finningham Road, Church Road, Chapel Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 14/08/2025 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C969 INGATE, BECCLES

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C969 Ingate, Beccles from the level crossing for 20 metres eastbound and 20 metres westbound to facilitate repairs to a rail defect. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Blyburgate, Newgate, Station Road, George Westwood Way, the A146, Ingate Street Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11.15pm on 23/08/2025 - 8.30am on 24/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

(PARISH OF BOTESDALE) (HALL LANE) (B1113)

(30 MPH SPEED LIMIT EXTENSION) ORDER 2025

On 06/08/2025 Suffolk County Council made the above Order for the Parish of Botesdale under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to extend the 30mph speed limit on B1113 Hall Lane from a point approximately 83 metres southeast of Back Hill, northwest for a total distance of 116 metres.

A copy of the Order which comes into effect on 20/08/2025 and map showing the roads affected, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Diss Library, Church Street, Diss, Norfolk IP22 4DD, 8am - 7pm Monday - Friday and 10am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday.
