Temporary Prohibition Of Driving Order 2025

The Oldham Borough Council on 8th August 2025 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of Windsor Road from its junction with A62 for a distance of 75 metres in a south easterly direction.

Alternative route
Southeast bound: Manchester Street, Frederick Street, Napier Street West, Napier Street East, Union Street West, Lee Street, Manchester Street, Tetlow Street, Larch Street and Bright Street, Northwest bound: Bright Street, Larch Street, Tetlow Street.

Access to car parks will be maintained or managed on site

The Order is to be made to allow electrical excavations and will be in force for 2 weeks from 17th August 2025, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
