High House Road, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C4009 HIGH HOUSE ROAD (LINETHWAITE ROAD), ST BEES) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C4009 High House Road (Linethwaite Road), St Bees, from a point approx. 60m north east of its junction with the C4010, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 260m.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of High House Road (Linethwaite Road), A595, Springfield Road, C4008, C4007, B5345, Finkle Street and Grindal Place.

The Order will come into operation on 3 September 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day between 0930 and 1500 hours, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
