ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Priory Walk footpath from outside number 15 to number 13, Portbury, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025
Date coming Into Force: 15 October 2025
Ref: SW25.26-129
Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide safe working area for engineers to provide service to customer. This order will become operative on the 15 October 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025
Date coming Into Force: 16 October 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to reset a pole. This order will become operative on the 16 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm only. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Clarken Coombe, Long Ashton North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists
Date coming into force: 18 August 2025
Ref: T25-35
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This order was required because of carriageway patching and will become operative on 18 August 2025, anticipated to be of 6 nights. The working hours will be 8pm to 6am. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.
Schedule – B3128 Clevedon Road from the junction of Beggar Bush Lane to Clarken Coombe. Providence Lane from B3128 in a south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 25m. Clarken Coombe from the junction of Longwood Lane to the junction of Long Ashton Road.
Alternative routes for all schedules – Bristol Bound Traffic - Clevedon Road and Clarken Coombe - B3128 Clevedon Road (part unaffected), West Hill, Tickenham Hill, B3130 Clevedon Road, Stock Way North, High Street, Bristol Road, Clevedon Road, A370 Long Ashton By-pass, North Slip Road from A370 To Ashton Road, Ashton Road. Clevedon Bound Traffic – Clevedon Road and Clarken Coombe – B3128 Ashton Road, South Slip Roads Between Ashton Road and A370, A370 Long Ashton By-pass, B3130 Barrow Street, B3130 Clevedon Road, Bristol Road, High Street, Stock Way North, B3130 Clevedon Road, B3128 Tickenham Hill, West Hill, B3128 Clevedon Road (part unaffected).

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025
Date coming into Force: 29 August 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This order will become operative on the 29 August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule – Church Lane from Court farm for approximately 30m to the Coach House.
