What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council,
Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpath 25.43/1/1, Harome, Order 2019 No 38
Notice is hereby given that the above Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any public access along Public Footpath 25.43/1/1, Harome, between grid reference SE64198215 & SE64618199 due to a dangerous bridge has been continued in force for a further 12 months until 16/08/26 or until the completion of the works (whichever is the earlier), under Section 15(3) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. The further continuation of the closure will be put into effect by notices & signs.

Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No Tbc, Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Ryedale) Consolidation Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:–
Road In The Village of Settrington, Stopping Prohibited Between 8:15 To 9:00 & 15:00 To 15:30, Monday to Friday, Except For Taxis
Chapel Road, Settrington, North side from a point 19 metres east of the centreline of its junction with Back Lane, to a point 25 metres east of the centreline of its junction with Back Lane.
A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Malton Library, St Michael Street, Malton, YO17 7LJ during normal office hours from 13/08/25 to 05/09/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders.
