Eskdale Green, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Utility Works

What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C4026 ESKDALE GREEN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the C4026 Eskdale Green, from its junction with the U4410, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 250 m.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C4026, C4025, A595 and U4279.

The Order will come into operation on 19 August 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
