FERRY WAY, POOLE – JETTY CONSTRUCTION WORKS

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT, WHERE AND WHEN:

Ferry Way on its western side adjacent to the chain ferry – No parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time (suspension of the taxi rank) Anticipated dates: 26 August 2025 to 13 March 2026

Ferry Way Car Park – No parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time (suspension of the 2 parking spaces on its southern side closest to the chain ferry to be used as a temporary taxi rank) Anticipated dates: 26 August 2025 to 13 March 2026

Ferry Way Car Park – No parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time (suspension of 9 parking spaces on the northern side)

Anticipated dates: 8 September 2025 to 13 March 2026

Ferry Way Car Park – Road closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time

Anticipated dates: from 05:00 on 24 September to 05:00 on 25 September 2025 and again from 05:00 on 5 January to 05:00 on 6 January 2026

Ferry Way car park lane at its junction with the Ferry Way Car Park – Road closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time

Anticipated dates: from 23:00 on 24 September to 05:00 on 25 September 2025 and again from 23:00 on 5 January to 05:00 on 6 January 2026

WHY: Jetty construction works by Knights Brown

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
