What is happening?

EAST RENFREWSHIRE COUNCIL
(Fereneze Avenue & Vardar Avenue, Clarkston) - Temporary Restriction To Use Of Road Order 2025
On the 6th August 2025 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order authorises to restrict vehicular access On Fereneze Avenue & Vardar Avenue, Clarkston (Between Its Junctions With Burnside Gardens & Cathkin Drive), in order to facilitate the essential carriageway & footway resurfacing works scheduled to be carried out from Monday 1st September until Friday 17th October 2025.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Diversion Routes:-
(i) Fereneze Avenue Carriageway
Kilpatrick Gardens to Campsie Gardens :- Kilpatrick Gardens – Campsie Gardens – and vice Versa.
(ii) Vardar Avenue Footway
Seres Road to Cathkin Drive :- Seres Road to Cathkin Drive and Vice Versa.
