Hove, Temporary Road Closures Due To Island Removal & Resurfacing Works

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – NEVILL AVENUE & TUDOR CLOSE, HOVE
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-
In phases only as and when signed: The temporary closure of Nevill Avenue from its junction with Tudor Close to outside No. 137 Nevill Avenue.
For the entire duration of these works the following will be in force
(a) The temporary closure of Tudor Close at its junction with Nevill Avenue and continuing northwards for approximately 12 metres.
The Order is necessary to allow contractors working on behalf of Brighton & Hove City Council to carry out the removal and reinstatement of the pedestrian islands and carriageway resurfacing works.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.
This Order comes into force on 31 August 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 24 September 2025.
