Sudbury Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Sudbury Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.135) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 20th August 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
SUDBURY ROAD
From its junction with Tunstall Road to outside No.34 Tunstall Road.
TUNSTALL ROAD
From outside No. 2 to outside No. 8 Tunstall Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Openreach works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 20th August 2025 to 29th August 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Tunstall Road, Braintree Road, Washbrook Road, Sudbury Road and vice versa and Sudbury Road, Tunstall Road, Braintree Road, Washbrook Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
