What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(PERTON ROAD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding along Perton Road closed from its junction with Wightwick Bank to outside The Fieldhouse Public House.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months and it is anticipated that the road closure will be in place from 18 August 2025 until 22 August 2025.
The vehicular diversion route is: Perton Road, Tinacre Hill, Bridgnorth Road, Wightwick Bank and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate Cadent Gas to lay new gas connections.
