ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
U9542 WAVERTON CLOSE WHERNSIDE PLACE FOOTWAY CRAMLINGTON
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U9542 Waverton Close Whernside Place Footway from its junction with U9542 Waverton Close Westloch Road Footway heading north westwards for a distance of 31 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 8th September 2025 until the 17th October 2025.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 8th September 2025 until the 19th September 2025 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 17th October 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Whernside Place, U9542 Waverton Close Whernside Place Footway, U9542 Waverton Close Windburgh Drive Footway, U9542 Waverton Close Westloch Road Footway and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
C401 MILBURN ROAD ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C401 Milburn Road from its junction with Fifth Avenue heading southwards for a distance of 433 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2025 until the 27th February 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 8th September 2025 until the 12th September 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 daily during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 27th February 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the C401, U6710, U6703, B1334 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

B1331 RIDGE TERRACE AND NETHERTON ROAD BEDLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER NUMBER 2 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Bedlington in the County of Northumberland.
Road Closures:
B1331 Netherton Road from its junction with Alnwick Drive heading eastwards for a distance of 305 metres. B1331 Ridge Terrace for its entire length. The Order is to be effective from the 6th September 2025 until the 6th March 2026.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 6th September 2025 until the 18th October 2025 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 nightly during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 6th March 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the B1331, A192, A1068 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

WANSBECK DISTRICT PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 17
(TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Wansbeck District Public Footpath Number 17, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
Wansbeck District Public Footpath Number 17
From a point on the A196 road 30 metres north of the Rowing Club in a general southwesterly, easterly and south-easterly direction for a distance of 665 metres following the north bank of the River Wansbeck and passing under the North Seaton Viaduct to a point on the U6574 footway immediately south-west of Curlew Close. There is no alternative route.

The closure has been requested by United Living Infrastructure Services in the interests of public safety to facilitate works to install a new water main.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – A1068 CHOPPINGTON ROAD, BEDLINGTON AND A1068 CHOPPINGTON ROAD, CHOPPINGTON
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION REVOCATON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intend to revoke an Order made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended the effect of which is to revoke in its entirety the following Order:
Northumberland County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 (1) A1068 Choppington Road Bedlington and A1068 Choppington Road Choppington (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 which had the effect of road closures on the following sections of highways:-
• A1068 Choppington Road, Bedlington from its junction with Ewart Drive heading northwards for a distance of 95 metres.
• A1 068 Choppington Road, Choppington from its junction with Wansbeck Bridleway 072 heading southwards for a distance of 510 metres.
This Revocation Order will be effective from 23:59 hours on 24th August 2025.

U9521 NEWCASTLE ROAD BACK LANE, SEATON AVENUE HARTLEY TERRACE BACK LANE, HARTLEY TERRACE, SEATON AVENUE, CARLTON AVENUE AND U9523 DELAVAL CRESCENT BLYTH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in Blyth the County of Northumberland:-
The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2025 until the 19th December 2025.
U9523 Delaval Crescent, Blyth from its junction with Newcastle Road heading westwards for a distance of 21 metres.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st September 2025 until the 12th September 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 19th December 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Newcastle Road, Delaval Crescent and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
• U9523 Delaval Crescent for its entire length.
• U9521 Newcastle Road Back Lane from its southward junction with Newcastle Road heading eastwards and then northwards for a distance of 90 metres.
• U9521 Seaton Avenue Hartley Terrace Back Lane for its entire length
• U9521 Hartley Terrace for its entire length
• U9521 Seaton Avenue for its entire length
• U9521 Carlton Avenue for its entire length
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 10th September 2025 until the 5th November 2025 and that the roads will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 19th December 2025.
There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.

The closure has been requested by Untied Living to carry out new water pipe system works and replace old water pipes. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
U6708 SECOND AVENUE AND U6531 BEATRICE STREET KATHERINE STREET BACK LANE ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Ashington in the County of Northumberland.
• U6708 Second Avenue from its junction with Katherine Street Portia Street Back Lane heading westwards for a distance of 100 metres
• U6 531 Beatrice Street Katherine Street Back Lane from a point at the rear of 97 Katherine Street heading southwards for a distance of 45 metres
The Order is to be effective from the 18th August 2025 until the 22nd August 2025.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 18th August 2025 until the 20th August 2025 between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 daily during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 22nd August 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Second Avenue, Alexandra Road, Third Avenue, Hawthorn Road and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER NUMBER 2 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6508 Woodhorn Road Back Ashington from its junction with Lintonville Terrace heading eastwards for a distance of 25 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 25th August 2025 until the 18th February 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 25th August 2025 until the 30th September 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 18th February 2025.
There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16 A
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has made on the 30th July 2025 the Northumberland County Council (Blyth Celebrates – Vintage Festival 2025) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025 (“the TTRO”). The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Blyth Celebrates – Vintage Festival 2025 (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on the U9503 Market Street in Blyth for it’s entire length and the U9503 Church Street in Blyth from it’s junction with Waterloo Road heading northwards for a distance of 58 metres (“the Road”).
The TTRO shall come into force at 8:00 hours on the 12th September 2025 and will remain in force until 12:00 hours on the 15th September 2025, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act.
There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO. All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary. Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:
a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;
b. Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.
c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;
d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road);
e. Vehicular access to any premises situated on or adjacent to the Road will be maintained at all times via the back lane to Market Street; or
f. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has made on the 6th August 2025 the Northumberland County Council (WBTC Street Fair 2025) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025 (“the TTRO”). The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of WBTC Street Fair 2025 (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on the A193 Front Street West in Bedlington from it’s junction with Choppington Land heading eastwards for a distance of 422 metres (“the Road”).
The TTRO shall come into force at 6:00 hours on the 23rd August 2025 and will remain in force until 23:30 hours on the 23rd August 2025, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the B1331, the U6722, the A1068, the U6546 in Bedlington and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary. Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred under sections 1 to 4, 32, 35, 45 and 46, 61 and 64 (as appropriate) and Part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other powers so enabling, have made the abovenamed Order.
The effect of the Order, which will come into force on the 18th August 2025 will be to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by introducing the following parking restrictions:
• No Waiting at Any Time on sections of Bristol Street, Melton Drive, St Michael’s Avenue and U9536 Bristol Walk Hartley Court.
• No Waiting or Loading at Any Time on Double Row and Melton Drive.
• A prohibition of stopping on school entrance markings applying Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm on Melton Drive.
In addition, the ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ parking restrictions on Double Row in New Hartley will be removed.
The restrictions can also be viewed in map format, as the maps form part of the mapbased schedule to the Order. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred under sections 1 to 4, 32, 35, 45 and 46, 61 and 64 (as appropriate) and Part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other powers so enabling, intends to make the abovenamed Order.
The effect of the Order, if made, will be to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by introducing the following parking restrictions in Blyth:
1) There will be a restricted parking zone on Market Street and sections of Church Street and Regent Street (also known as the area forming Blyth Market Place) with no waiting at any time and no loading between the hours of 9am-4pm.
2) There will be a loading bay applying at all times on Market Street.
3) The effect of the Order, if made, will be to further vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by removing the following restrictions in Blyth:
The “no stopping on the footway” restrictions on sections of Waterloo Road, Church Street and the U9503 Waterloo Road Back Lane.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE THE NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL

REVOCATION ORDER 2025 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT:
1. Northumberland County Council (“the Council”) in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under Schedule 9, Part IV of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers intends to make the Northumberland County Council (U9503 Church Street, Market Street, Regent Street, Blyth) Revocation Order 2025 (“the Revocation Order”) for the purposes of revoking the U9503 Church Street, Market Street, Regent Street, Blyth (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024 which was made by the Council on the 30th December 2024 pursuant to section 14 of the Act (“the previous Order”).
2. The reason for the making of the Revocation Order is that the works have concluded.
3. The Revocation Order will come into force on the 22nd August 2025 and the previous Order will be revoked in full and ceased to have effect from that date.
