Biddisham Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Replacement Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Badgworth Temporary Closure of Biddisham Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Biddisham Lane - from 496 metres north of the junction with Coombe Way, north-eastwards for a total distance of 685 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out pole replacement works.
The Order becomes effective on 26 August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 2 September 2025 and last until 3 September 2025 between the hours of 09:30 -15:30 for a total of 2 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
