MOLIVERS LANE, BROMHAM 25 - 042

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Molivers Lane, Bromham.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate repairs to water pipe and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation

00:00 to 23:59 hours from 19th August 2025 to 21st August 2025 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Molivers Lane, Woodland Drive, Wingfield Road, Village Road.

The reverse route applies.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

HARPUR STREET, BEDFORD 25 - 050

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Harpur Street, Bedford from Lime Street to Dame Alice Street. Access will be maintained for businesses and residents affected by the closure.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate highway improvement works and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24hours from 26th August 2025 to 30th November 2025

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via St Loyes Street, Bromham Road, Union Street, Union Street Roff Avenue, Tavistock Street, The Broadway, De Parys Avenue, Dame Alice Street, Harpur Street.

The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, from turning right into Harpur Street from Dane Street.

This temporary right turn prohibition is required to aid traffic management for works on Harpur Street and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary right turn prohibition is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 26th August 2025 to 30th November 2025 The Order came into operation on 26th August 2025,for a period of twelve months or until the temporary right turn prohibition is no longer required, whichever is the earlier. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to suspend the one way system on St Loyes Street, Bedford from Allhallows to Lime Street Bedford. This temporary one way suspension is required to aid traffic management whilst highway improvement works are carried out on Harpur Street Bedford and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary one way suspension is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 26th August 2025 to 30th November 2025

TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ORDER 2025

BEDFORD ROAD RISELEY, RISELEY ROAD BLETSOE,

NORTH END BLETSOE 25 - 034

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bedford Borough Council has made an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Bedford Road Riseley, Riseley Road Bletsoe, North End Bletsoe at a speed exceeding 30 mph.

This temporary 30 mph speed restriction is required for safety of the public and workforce for a reinforcement project and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary 30 mph speed restriction is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from18th August 2025 to 24th October 2025 The Order will come into operation on 18th August 2025, for a period of twelve months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Manor Farm Lane, Honeydon. This temporary road closure is required to replace a telegraph pole and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:00 to 17:00 hours from 26th August 2025 to 27th August 2025. The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Manor Farm Lane, Begwary Lane, Mill Road, Staploe Road, Lower Honeydon Lane.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

(WILDEN: PART OF FOOTPATH NO 14)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an Order has been made by Bedford Borough Council on 9th August 2024, extended on 14th February 2025 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of Wilden: Part of Footpath No 14 which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0852 5507 to OS GR TL 0928 5514 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 19th February 2026.

This closure is required due to holes in the surface of the footpath caused by animals. The closure will continue from Wednesday 20th August 2025 for a period of six months.

The alternative routes for users while the closure is in operation is to walk from OS GR TL 0852 5507 south west along Ravensden Road to the junction with Bridleway No 36, OS GR TL 0839 5503. Then proceed in a south easterly direction to OS GR TL 0867 5458 and follow north east onto footpath A11 to OS GR TL 0928 5514 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 20th August 2025 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpath have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
