Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA

 

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, FOLKESTONE & HYTHE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.6) ORDER 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to extend the current School Keep Clear lines on the following length of road in Brookland, Folkestone and Hythe:-

HIGH STREET – On the south east side extend the current School Keep Clear Lines (No Stopping Mon-Fri 8am-5pm) by an additional 14 metres in a north easterly direction to a point in line with the southern boundary of Old House School.

MAIDSTONE AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, MAIDSTONE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLDIATION) ORDER
(AMENDMENT No.9) ORDER 2024

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines on the following length of road in Maidstone:-

CASTLE ROAD - DYL – (1) On the northwestern side of the railway bridge on both sides of the road for a distance of 30 metres in a northeasterly direction (2) On southeastern side of the railway bridge on both sides of the road for a distance of 30 metres in a southwesterly direction.

The Order was made on 21 August 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 22 August 2025.

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, MAIDSTONE)
(SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2020
(AMENDMENT No.20) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to introduce a 40MPH speed limit in Stockbury, Maidstone on the following length of road:-

OAD STREET – From its boundary with Swale Borough Council to its junction with Pett Lane.

SEVENOAKS AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, DISTRICT OF SEVENOAKS) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024
(AMENDMENT No.7) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to remove a section of shared residents parking with limited bays due to a new access and add double yellow lines (DYL) on the following road in Sevenoaks:-

CYCLAMEN ROAD – DYL – On the north side from a point 25 metres from its junction with Philip Avenue remove the SYL and 3 metres of shared use bay and replace with DYL for a distance of 12.5 metres in a westerly direction.

The Order was made on 21 August 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 22 August 2025.

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2022 (AMENDMENT No.17) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make the above-named Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order would be to introduce a 40mph speed limit and reduce the current speed limit on the following roads in Borden, Swale:-

MAIDSTONE ROAD – From its junction with Oad Street to a point 320 metres northeast of its junction with Oak Close. OAD STREET – From a point in line with the western side entrance of Vinson Farm to the boundary with Maidstone Borough Council.

THANET AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS) ORDER 2024 (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT No.4) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council proposes to make the above named Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and of Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of the proposed named Order will be to place an Abnormal Load Width Restriction for vehicles over 3.75m entering the tunnel unless pre requested from the Highway Authority on the following length of road in Ramsgate, Thanet:-

ROYAL HARBOUR APPROACH - From its junction with Canterbury Road to its junction with Military Road.

ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that the KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the above listed Order.

The effect of the made named Order will be to consolidate all Speed Limit restrictions in the District of Thanet and to present the location of the existing restrictions in a new map schedule and to specify each type of restriction so presented in a map schedule legend.

The Orders were made on 21st August 2025 and the provisions of the Orders will come into effect on 22nd August 2025.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that the KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the above listed Order.
