(SCOTLAND) ACT 1997

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Angus Council has on 11 August 2025 made an order under Section 207 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 stopping up, improving and diverting the road as described in the Schedules hereto.

The title of the Order is The Angus Council (A92 Dundee Road, Arbroath) (New Side Road, Side Road Improvements and Stopping Up of Side Road) Order 2025.

A copy of the order as made and of the accompanying plan showing the road to be stopped up, improved and diverted, together with a statement of the reasons for making the order have been deposited at the office of Angus Council, Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar DD8 1AN. Those documents are available for inspection free of charge from 8:45am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday and are also available online at www.angus.gov.uk/trafficorders, from 14 August 2025. A copy of the order can also be requested by emailing Roads@angus.gov.uk.

ANY PERSON may, within 28 days from today’s date, object to the confirmation of the order by notice in writing to the Director of Infrastructure & Environment, Angus Council, Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar DD8 1AN. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

ROUTE OF NEW SIDE ROAD

1. Fr om a point 433 metres or thereby south-west of the junction of Westway with Dundee Road (A92) in a north-westerly then westerly then north-westerly direction for a distance of 199 metres or thereby as shown by stipple and numbered “1” on plan number TCPSA/A92/DRA/SUD/1.

SCHEDULE 2

ROAD TO BE IMPROVED

1. That  length of the existing side road leading to the sewage treatment works at Elliot, Arbroath from a point 79 metres or thereby north-west of its junction with Dundee Road (A92), extending north-westwards for a distance of 117 metres or thereby as shown by cross hatching and numbered “2” on plan number TCPSA/A92/DRA/SUD/1.

SCHEDULE 3

LENGTHS OF ROAD TO BE STOPPED UP

1.   That length of the existing side road leading to the sewage treatment works at Elliot, Arbroath from a point 3 metres or thereby north-west of its junction with Dundee Road (A92) in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 140 metres or thereby as shown by zebra hatching and numbered “3” on plan number TCPSA/A92/DRA/SUD/1.

2.   That  length of the existing side road leading to the sewage treatment works at Elliot, Arbroath from a point 150 metres or thereby north-west of its junction with Dundee Road (A92) in a northwesterly direction for a distance of 10 metres or thereby as shown by zebra hatching and numbered “4” on plan number TCPSA/A92/DRA/SUD/1.

3.   That length of the existing side road leading to the sewage treatment works at Elliot, Arbroath from a point 166 metres or thereby north-west of its junction with Dundee Road (A92) in a northwesterly direction for a distance of 24 metres or thereby as shown by zebra hatching and numbered “5” on plan number TCPSA/A92/DRA/SUD/1.
