SOUTHERN BYPASS (A4303), LUTTERWORTH

The Leicestershire County Council proposes to establish a Toucan Crossing in accordance with Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, at the following location:

Lutterworth Southern Bypass (A4303) Lutterworth –

Approximately 40m east of the A4303/Coventry Road/Fairacres Coventry Road roundabout.

IN THE TOWN OF LUTTERWORTH AND THE DISTRICT OF HARBOROUGH)

(IMPOSITION OF A 40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 5, 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be:

To impose a 40MPH Speed Limit on parts of Lutterworth Southern Bypass (A4303), Coventry Road (A4303) and Lutterworth Road (A4303).

A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected until

5th September 2025, during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA on the councils website at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and -travel/ cars-and-parking/traffic-management-consultations, and at the offices of Harborough District Council, The Symington Building, Adam & Eve Street, Market Harborough LE16 7AG and at the offices of Lutterworth Town Council, Coventry Road, Lutterworth, LE17 4SH. All documents relating to the proposal will remain available on request, in compliance with statute by contacting legalpropertyandenvironment@leics.gov.uk. Objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by not later than 5th September 2025, quoting reference HT/HTWMT/5988. Alternatively, objections can be emailed to hayley.tennant@leics.gov.uk or via the online comment form which may be accessed via the link above.
