(D51/5 RAECLEUGH, GORDON)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (D51/5 Raecleugh, Gordon) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 20 August 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:00 and 19:00. The Order is required for BT works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D51/5 at Raecleugh, Gordon.
The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the D51/5, A697, B6456 and D51/5 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(C41 SWINSIDE, JEDBURGH)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (C41 Swinside, Jedburgh) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 20 August 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00. The Order is required for BT works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C41 at Swinside, Jedburgh.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the C41, C33, A68, C32, C41 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(EDGEFEST 2025)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (EdgeFest 2025) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 20:00 on 28 August 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 03:00 on 31 August 2025 - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required in the interests of public safety due to increased traffic attending the EdgeFest 2025 music event taking place at Lilliardsedge Park.
When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of public safety, no person shall:
(a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph along the A68 from a point approximately 130 metres south of Lilliardsedge to the Junction with the C66 at North Lodge from 20:00 on 28 August 2025 to 03:00 on 31 August 2025; and
(b) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A68 layby opposite Lilliardsedge Caravan Park from 08:00 on 29 August 2025 to 03:00 on 31 August 2025. A map showing the restriction can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk.

(C84 OXTON)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (C84 Oxton) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 19 August 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 21 August 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for duct testing works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C84 from Station Road Oxton to the A68.

(FLOORS CASTLE, KELSO – SUMMER CONCERTS)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Floors Castle, Kelso – Summer Concerts) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 06:00 on 21 August 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 23 August 2025 as detailed below.
The Order is required in the interests of public safety due to increased traffic attending Floors Castle Summer Concerts.
When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of public safety:
(a) from 16:00 to 23:59 on 21 and 22 August and from 13:00 to 23:59 on 23 August 2025, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along the following roads in Kelso:
(i) the north side of Angraflat Road – from Edinburgh Road eastwards for 230 metres;
(ii) the west side of Edinburgh Road – from Angraflat Road to Bowmont Street;
(iii) the west side of Roxburgh Street – from the entrance to Floors Castle to Bowmont Street;
(iv) both sides of Bowmont Street – from Edinburgh Road to the entrance to the old High School;
(b) no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph on the following roads in the Kelso area from 06:00 on 21 August to 23:59 on 23 August 2025:
(i) A6089 – from the existing 30mph signs northwards to a point 275 metres north of its junction with the B6397;
(ii) B6397 – from the A6089 westwards to a point 500 metres west of its junction with the access road to Floors Castle Terrace Café and shop;
(c) no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D79/4 Race Course Road, Kelso from its junction with the A6089 to the allotments between the hours of 16:00 and 23:59 from 21 to 23 August 2025. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the A6089, Angraflat Road and the D79/4 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

The Scottish Borders Council (D51/5 Pyatshaw, Lauder) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 25 August 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 26 August 2025 between the hours of 08:00 to 17:00 each day. The Order is required for Go Fibre works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D51/5 at Pyatshaw, Lauder.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the D51/5, A697, B6456 and D51/5 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(D83/2 PEEL, CLOVENFORDS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (D83/2 Peel, Clovenfords) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 18 August 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 27 August 2025. The Order is required for gas pipeline works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D83/2 at Peel, Clovenfords.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the D83/2, D83/1, D80/1, A72 and D83/2 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL AMENDMENT OF (THE BORDERS REGIONAL COUNCIL (VARIOUS STREETS, GALASHIELS)
(REGULATION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 1990) (EXPERIMENTAL TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council made the above Order on 4 August 2025 in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to said Act and having complied with the statutory requirements of The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999, as amended. The Order will be experimental and will remain initially in operation for a period of no less than six months.
The effect of the Order, which comes into operation on 18 August 2025, will be to amend The Borders Regional Council (Various Streets, Galashiels) (Regulation of Traffic) Order 1990 as set out in the Schedules to the experimental order in the interests of public and road safety and traffic management.
A copy of the Experimental Order as made, together with a map showing said lengths of road and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the Experimental Order may be examined at Traffic and Road Safety, Network, Environment and Infrastructure, The Scottish Borders Council, Newtown St Boswells, Melrose, from Mondays to Thursdays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and also at the Council’s Contact Centre at Paton Street, Galashiels TD1 3AS during normal working hours.
The Scottish Borders Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be made permanent. Any person wishing to object to the making of a permanent Order should send details of the grounds of objection in writing to the Director of Corporate Governance, Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells, Melrose, TD6 0SA by
17 February 2026.
