What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF RESTRICTED BYWAY 36, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Restricted Byway 36, Ipswich from Coprolite Street for 85 metres southbound to facilitate the installation of new utilities. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be made available on site.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 21/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Rob Page of Associated British Ports. Tel: 07742 379787. Email: rpage@abports.co.uk

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U4437 MARLOW ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4437 Marlow Road, Ipswich to facilitate carriageway resurfacing.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bramford Lane, Ulster Avenue and vice versa.

The diversion route will have access maintained for refuse service.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 29/08/2025 from 8am to 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C659 WICKHAM ROAD, HARGAVE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C659 Wickham Road, Hargave from 267 metres north of the junction with Baxters Green for 120 metres northbound to facilitate the reinstatement of a water access point. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Wickhambrook Road, The Green, Ousden Road, Ladys Green, Bury Road, Front Street, Road from County Boundary to A143, Cowlinge Corner, The Street, Bunters Road, Cemetery Road, Coltsfoot Green, Ashfield Green, Wickhambrook Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 17/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Anglian Water SPA. Tel: 07423 483649.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON PART OF THE U6820 EDEN ROAD AND HIGH STREET, HAVERHILL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6820 Eden Road, Haverhill to facilitate a drainage survey. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be High Street, Duddery Road and vice versa.

The duration of this closure will be a suspension of the one-way provision on the U6820 High Street from Eden Road to Duddery Hill to allow access and egress.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 22/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1152 THE STREET, EYKE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A1152 The Street, Eyke from the junction with Church Lane for 200 metres south westbound to facilitate carriageway works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1069, the B1078, the B1087 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 18/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Frontline Solutions. Tel: 07841 752930.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1113 NEEDHAM ROAD AND BADLEY HILL, STOWMARKET AND BADLEY

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

• the B1113 Needham Road, Stowmarket from Needham Road to Cedars Park Roundabout, Stowmarket to Badley Lane, Badley

• the B1113 Badley Hill, Badley from Badley Lane for 325 metres south eastbound.

This is to facilitate surface dressing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1113, the B1078, the B1115, the A1308 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 13/08/2025 from 7pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 18, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 18, Ipswich at the railway line for 210 metres north eastbound and for 185 metres south westbound for safety reasons during ongoing construction works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion routes will be made available on site.

The restriction continues in force the emergency measures first signed 22/07/2022

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE FOOTWAY FROM NO. 22 TURRELL DRIVE TO FIELD LANE, KESSINGLAND

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the footway from no. 22 Turrell Drive to Field Lane, Kessingland outside no. 47 McLean Drive to facilitate the installation of a new telecommunication pole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be footway from no. 22 Turrell Drive to Field Lane, McLean Drive unassociated footway and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 13/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Hawthornden Development Ltd. Tel: (01953) 660721.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U5229 GRANGE ROAD, THWAITE ROAD, THE BROADWAY AND DOVE LANE, WICKHAM SKEITH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5229 Grange Road, Wickham Skeith, the U5229 Thwaite Road, Wickham Skeith, the U5229 The Broadway Wickham Skeith and the U5229 Dove Lane, Wickham Skeith to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, Wickham Skeith, Wickham Road, Workhouse Road, Thornham Magna, the A140, Wickham Road, Thwaite and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 15/08/2025 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C317 PYTCHES ROAD, WOODBRIDGE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C317 Pytches Road, Woodbridge from the junction with Fitzgerald Road for 35 metres eastbound to facilitate repairing a fire hydrant. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Melton Hill, Melton Road, Woods Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 18/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C355 KIRTON ROAD, TRIMLEY ST MARTIN

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C355 Kirton Road, Trimley St Martin from no. 151 to no. 143 to facilitate the installation of a new high voltage electrical cable. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A14, Croft Lane, Innocence Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 22/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to UK Power Networks. Tel: 0800 029 4285.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1077 EYE ROAD, RISHANGLES

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1077 Eye Road, Rishangles from 50 metres south from the junction with Bedingfield Road for 20 metres southbound to facilitate a boundary box renewal. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1117, the B1118, the B1116, the A1120 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 12/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Core Highways Ltd. Tel: 0330 043 3030.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1074 BLUNDESTON ROAD, SOMERLEYTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1074 Blundeston Road, Somerleyton from Green Lane for 200 metres westbound to facilitate works to a telecommunication frame and cover. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1074, the A143, the A146, the B1375 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/08/2025 - 15/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to C and L Construction Ltd. Tel: 07549 856176.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C335 SCHOOL ROAD, TUNSTALL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C335 School Road, Tunstall from Blaxhall Church Road to Tunstall Common Road to facilitate jetting and CCTV works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Linternere Lane, Tunstall, the B1069, the B1078 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 8pm on 11/08/2025 until 3am on 12/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.
