What is happening?

SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(SCHOOL LANE, EYEMOUTH)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (School Lane, Eyemouth) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 23 August 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 26 August 2025. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along School Lane, Eyemouth.
The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Houndlaw Park, Coldingham
Road, Albert Road, School Lane to the point of closure, northbound traffic is via Albert Road, High Street, Church Street, Harbour Road, Albert Road, Coldingham Road, Houndlaw Park to the point of closure.

(HURKUR CRESCENT, EYEMOUTH)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Hurkur Crescent, Eyemouth) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 18 August 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 27 August 2025. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Hurkur Crescent, Eyemouth.
The alternative route for south westbound traffic is via Northburn Road and

(D112/6 BEANBURN ROAD, AYTON)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) NO 2 ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (D112/6 Beanburn Road, Ayton) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 18 August 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 22 August 2025 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for BT works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D112/6 at Beanburn Road, Ayton.
The alternative route for vehicles under 15’ 9” is as follows:
Southbound traffic is via the B6355, D111/6 and D112/6 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing;
The alternative route for vehicles over 15’ 8” is as follows:
Southbound traffic is via the C129, A1, B6438, C112 and D112/6 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. Local access will be maintained. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk

(C116 MAINES FARM ROAD, CHIRNSIDE)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (C116 Maines Farm Road, Chirnside) (Temporary
Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 21 August 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 3 September 2025. The Order is required for BT Openreach works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C116 near Maines Farm, Chirnside.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the C116, A6105, B6437 and C116 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk
