Welton Road - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic to Allow Highway Improvement Works

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC WELTON ROAD, BROUGH (PART) 

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Welton Road, Brough (outside number 130 and Moor Road roundabout) and Loxley Way, Brough (between Welton Road and Rye Crescent) commencing Monday 1 September 2025 to allow highway improvement works to be carried out. 

The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. 

The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 9 September 2025. The alternative routes for traffic affected by the road closures will be via Moor Road roundabout west on Welton Road, north on Elloughton Road/Main Street then east on Welton Low Road and south to Welton Road new roundabout and vice versa. 

South on Loxley Way and Constable Way, north east on Ruskin Way, then north on Moor Road and vice versa. 

The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will remain open for pedestrians, residents access and emergency services only.
