Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 8 August 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Downs Lane (D2555) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with Dorking Road (B2450) to a point 200 metres south-east of this junction.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole replacement and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 29 August 2025 for 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
D2801 Furlong Road, Westcott
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 13 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2801 Furlong Road, Westcott that extends from its junction with A25 Guildford Road, to its junction with D2860 St Johns Road.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Premier Drainage Solutions Limited to make new foul sewer mains and/or water mains installations and/or connections and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 12 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 September 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route: – St Johns Road, Springfield Road, Westcott Street and Guildford Road.
A25 Reigate Road and A242 Croydon Road, Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Banned Turn Order 2025
On 13 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: –
1. Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a westerly direction on A25 Reigate Road, Reigate from turning right into A242 Croydon Road. 2. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A242 Croydon Road, Reigate (southbound carriageway) that extends from its junction with D1217 Deering Road, to its junction with A25 Reigate Road.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out traffic signal refurbishment and/or repair and/or maintenance and/or highway works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm on weekdays, extended weekday works 5pm to 9pm, and 8am and 3pm on Saturdays, within 3 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary banned turn and closure, which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – Southbound – from Croydon Road – right onto Rushworth Road, left onto A217 London Road, onto A25 and bare left onto A25 Church Street and the end of diversion at the junction with Croydon Road.
Westbound – from A25 Reigate Road, continue on Church Street and bare right onto Reigate Town One Way System, at end of High Street bare right onto A25 London Road, then left onto A217 London Road, right onto Rushworth Road, to the end of the diversion.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Park Lane and Chalk Lane (D2628) Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 13 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;
(a) Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead as extends from its junction with (D2628) Chalk Lane to its junction with (X15273) Howard Close; (b) the north westbound junction of Chalk Lane (D2628) Ashtead as extends from its junction with (D2628) Park Lane and for a distance of 50 metres along Chalk Lane.
Alternative Route: (1) Park Lane, Farm Lane, Headley Road, Tilley Lane, Clay Lane, Church Lane, (B2033) Tot Hill, (B2033) Leech Lane, (B2033) Mill Way, (B2033) Reigate Road, (A24) By-Pass Road, (A24) Leatherhead Road, (A24) The Street, and Park Lane, or this route in reverse; (2) Park Lane, and Oaken Coppice.
This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Leatherhead Road (A24) Leatherhead
Temporary Speed Limit Order 2025
On 13 August 2025 Surrey County Council Made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to; (a) temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of Leatherhead Road (A24) Leatherhead as extends from its roundabout with (A24) By-Pass Road and (B2122) Epsom Road to its junction with (D2647) Uplands; (b) Suspend “Any Speed Limit Order made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act” insofar as affects the length of road described in part (a) of this Notice.
This Temporary Speed Limit Order is required to allow a safe working zone in connection with emergency gas works for, or on behalf of SGN.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks, between the hours of 12.30pm and 5pm, within 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 19 August 2025 and continues in force the provisions introduced by “The Surrey County Council A24 Leatherhead Road, Leatherhead Temporary Speed Limit Notice 2025” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 23 July 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit and suspension, which are anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
Brook Road (D1266) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 13 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Brook Road (D1266) Redhill.
Alternative Route: (A23) Brighton Road, (A23) Marketfield Way, (A25) Redstone Hill, Redstone Hollow, Philanthropic Road, and Hooley Lane.
This Order is required to facilitate mobile crane works for, or on behalf of Coppard Plant Hire Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Access for emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained when safe to do so. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for residents and businesses and will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/ or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Honeycrock Lane (C65) Salfords
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 13 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Honeycrock Lane (C65) Salfords as extends from its junction with (X65) Perrywood Business Park and for a distance of 150 metres in a north westerly direction along Honeycrock Lane.
Alternative Route: Honeycrock Lane, (A23) Brighton Road, (A23) Horley Road, Three Arch Road, Masons Bridge Road, and Honeycrock Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate underground structural works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Birch Avenue (D1426) and Wood Lane (D1426) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 13 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (1) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of (a) Birch Avenue (D1426) Caterham as extends from its junction with (T10029) Townpath – Birch Avenue westwards for a distance of 30 metres;
Alternative Route – Birch Avenue; Heath Road; Homestead Road; and Birch Avenue; and (b) Wood Lane (D1426) Caterham as extends from its junction with (D1426) Birch Avenue southwards for a distance of 15 metres.
Alternative Route – Wood Lane; and Heath Road; and (2) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Birch Avenue (D1426) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in paragraph (1)(a) above.
This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 01 September 2025 is required to facilitate mains gas replacement and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SGN within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over two weeks between the hours of 8am and 4pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including residents and the emergency services, will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2025
On 13 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (1) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead as extends from (a) its junction with (B2033) Highlands Road and (B2033) Reigate Road to its junction with (A24) By-Pass Road; and (b) its northern and Southern junction with (A24) By-Pass Road to its junction with Rights of Way Route 55 Leatherhead.
Alternative Routes – (i) Reigate Road; and A24 By-Pass Road; and (ii) Tilley Lane; Church Lane; Leech Lane; Mill Way; Reigate Road; A24 By-Pass Road. (2) Suspend (a) “The Surrey County Council Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025”; (b) “The Surrey County Council Headley Road (C55) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025”; and (c) “The Surrey County Council C55 Headley Road and C55 Clay Lane, Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as they affect the lengths of road specified in paragraph (1) above.
This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 01 September 2025 is required to facilitate mains gas replacement and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SGN within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 9 weeks between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as rolling road closures in three phases. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other traffic, including the emergency services, will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 13 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Smalls Hill Road (C57) Leigh as extends from its junction with (D331) Dean Oak Lane to its junction with Public Rights of Way Route 439 Leigh.
Alternative Route – Tapners Road; Bunce Common Road; Newdigate Road; Clayhill Road; Broad Lane; Blanks Lane; Stan Hill; Norwood Hill Road.
This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 23 July 2025 is required to facilitate telegraph pole testing works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over one day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
A264 Copthorne Road, Felbridge and D1448 Lake View Road, Felbridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 13 August 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:-
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and
(b) revoke part of “Surrey County Council Various in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2025” insofar as it relates to Copthorne Road only.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate capital safety defect works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Blackberry Lane (D412) Lingfield and Blackberry Road (D412) Felcourt
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:-
(a) Blackberry Lane (D412) Lingfield as extends from the access of the property known as “The College of St Barnabas” to its northern junction with Blackberry Road (D412); and (b) Blackberry Road (D412) forming the southern arm of the junction with Blackberry Lane and Blackberry Road.
Alternative Route – Dormans High Street, Dormans Road, B2028 (Racecourse Road, Town Hill and High Street), East Grinstead Road, Felcourt Road and Blackberry Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate cabling and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 8 September 2025 for 4 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Little Bookham Street (D2525) Bookham as extends from its junction with Burnhams Road (X15105) to its junction with Oakdene Road (N2510).
Alternative Route – Little Bookham Street, Church Road and Lower Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate ducting and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 September 2025 for 5 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 8.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Rectory Lane (D2512), Crampshaw Lane (D2512) and Skinners Lane (D2573) Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in:-
(a) that length of Rectory Lane (D2512) Ashtead as extends from its junction with Parkers Lane (D2631) to its junction with Dene Road (D2337); (b) the entire length of Crampshaw Lane (D2512) Ashtead; and (c) that length of Skinners Lane (D2573) Ashtead as extends from its junction with Barnett Wood Lane (D2507) to its junction with Oakfield Road (D2621).
Alternative Route – (a) Dene Road, Grove Road and A24, or this route in reverse. (b) there is no alternative route for this closure. (c) Barnett Wood Lane, Agates Lane and South View Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Circet UK Ltd to facilitate the laying of ducting, building of joint boxes, gully sucking and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 September 2025 over two phases. The first phase will be on Rectory Lane and Crampshaw Lane and is anticipated to commence on 23 September for 3 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.00pm.
The second phase will be on Skinners Lane and is anticipated to commence on 25 September for 4 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Honeypot Lane (C92) Edenbridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Honeypot Lane (C92) Edenbridge as extends from its junction with Grants Lane (D431) to a point 390 metres east of this junction (the Kent boundary).
This closure will extend into Kent with an order from Kent County Council.
Alternative Route – Honeypot Lane, Dwelly Lane, Haxted Road, Lingfield Road, Crouch House Road and Little Browns Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate cabling, pole testing, pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 8 September 2025 for 10 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Bridge Street (D2885) Leatherhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bridge Street (D2885) Leatherhead as extends from:-
(a) the boundaries of the property known as “4 Bridge Street” and (b) the boundaries of the property known as “Bridge House 27 Bridge Street”.
Alternative Route – Anti-clockwise only: Bridge Street, North Street, A245 (Station Road), B2122 (Waterway Road), Guildford Road, Leatherhead Bridge and Bridge Street. Clockwise only: Bridge Street, Leatherhead Bridge, Guildford Road, B2122 (Waterway Road), A245 (Station Road, Station Approach Road, Randalls Road and Bull Hill) and North Street.
This Order is required to enable SES Water and SGN to facilitate a new water connection, gas disconnection and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 September 2025 in two phases. (a) will commence on 15 September for 5 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm. (b) will commence on 22 September for 5 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned
Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles
from entering or proceeding in that length of:-
(a) East Grinstead Road (C88) Lingfield as extends from its junction with Blackberry Lane and Felcourt Road to a point 70 metres north of this junction; (b) Felcourt Road (C88) Lingfield as extends from its junction with East Grinstead Road and Blackberry Lane to a point 90 metres southwest of this junction; and (c) Blackberry Lane (D412) Lingfield as extends from its junction with East Grinstead Road and Felcourt Road to the access for the property known as “Giza House”.
Alternative Route – East Grinstead Road, B2028 (Plaistow Street and New Chapel Road), A22 (Eastbourne Road, Woodcock Hill and London Road), Lingfield Road and Felcourt Road, or this route in reverse. Additionally, Blackberry Road and Blackberry Lane as required.
This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate junction realignment works and associated works.
These works are anticipated to begin as soon possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 September 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Springbottom Lane (D387) Bletchingley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Springbottom Lane (D387) Bletchingley. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole testing works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 September 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), the effect of which will be to: –
1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of: –
a) B2208 Croydon Road and B2208 The Square, Caterham that extends from the northern side of the roundabout junction with B2030 The Square, to the junction with D1430 Mount Pleasant Road; b) D1431 Crescent Road, Caterham that extends from its junction with B2208 Croydon Road, to the south-eastern property boundary of “No.8 The Crescent”; c) D1430 Mount Pleasant Road, Caterham that extends from its junction with B2208 Croydon Road, to its junction with D1430 Farningham Road.
2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council Crescent Road (D1431) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” in its entirety.
This Traffic Order is required to enable ALS Civil Engineers for UK Power Networks to carry out utility works, to include ducting and/or cabling and/or jointing and/or connection and/ or maintenance works.
