What is happening?

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA),

(SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR AND PROHIBITION OF STOPPING)

(CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2016)

AMENDMENT NUMBER 2 ORDER 2025

WAKEFIELD DISTRICT WIDE

The Council of the City of Wakefield, in exercise of powers conferred by the Road Traffic

Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the above Order, the effect of which, in relation to Wakefield District wide, is to vary the Council of The City of Wakefield (Civil Enforcement Area) (School Keep Clear and Prohibition Of Stopping) (Consolidation Order 2016) by:-

Introducing School Keep Clear and Prohibition of Stopping restrictions throughout the Wakefield District.

The order comes into force on the 15th August 2025. A copy of the Traffic Regulation Order, together with a map showing the affected roads and the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed on the website www.wakefield.gov.uk/tro.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made (ie. 11th August 2025) apply to the High Court for this purpose.
