Norwich, Proposed Right Turn Restrictions During Peak Hours

What is happening?

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (NORWICH, CARROW ROAD/KING STREET/ CARROW HILL)

PROPOSED RIGHT TURN RESTRICTION ORDERS 2025

The Norfolk County Council propose to make the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The Norfolk County Council (Norwich, Carrow Road/ King Street) (Right Turn Restriction) Order 2025

The effect of which would be to prohibit any vehicle proceeding along the A147 Carrow Road to make a right turn into the C861 King Street between the hours of 07:30 to 09:30 and 16:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday (inclusive).

The effect of which would be to prohibit any vehicle proceeding along the A147 King Street to make a right turn into the U41611 Carrow Hill between the hours of 07:30 to 09:30 and 16:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday (inclusive).

The Orders are proposed because the previous right turn restrictions at the locations to which the proposals apply had expired.

Copies of the draft Orders, Plans, and the Statement of Reasons for making the Orders may be viewed online at https://norfolk.citizenspace.com. Copies are also available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH and at the offices of Norwich City Council, City Hall, St Peter’s Street, Norwich NR2 1NH. Online viewing is recommended.

Any objections and representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. All correspondence for these purposes must be received at the office of nplaw, Norfolk County Council, Chief Executive’s Office, South Wing, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH, marked for the attention of Traffic Orders Team by no later than 2nd September 2025. They may also be emailed to traffcorders@norfolk.gov.uk.
