THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (LITTLE BRICKHILL INTERCHANGE, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
TO SHEEP LANE ROUNDABOUT, BEDFORDSHIRE) LAY-BYS (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 202_
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) intends to make an Order on the A5 Trunk Road in the County of Buckinghamshire and the County of Bedfordshire to enable third party communications works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to last for approximately 3 weeks (9pm to 6am, weekdays only) starting on or after Monday 8 September 2025. The effect of the Order would be to close the lay-bys adjacent to –
• the southbound carriageway of the A5 located approximately 428 metres northwest of Sheep Lane Roundabout,
and
• the northbound carriageway of the A5 located approximately 1022 metres northwest of Sheep Lane Roundabout.
Any vehicle being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance, winter maintenance and traffic officer purposes would be exempt from the closures.
The Order would come into force on 1 September 2025 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months, whichever is the earlier.
