(PEMBROKE ROAD, NORTHAMPTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Pembroke Road, Northampton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Pembroke Road, Northampton from the junction of St Francis Avenue to 56 Pembroke Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during repairs to a manhole cover.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 30th August 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 1 day.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use St Francis Avenue and Gladstone Road.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Wheatfield Road North, Northampton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of  Wheatfield Road North, Northampton from Lindsay Avenue to Addison Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 1st September 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Holdenby Road, Northampton from Eastern Avenue North to Whilton Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 1st September 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along those lengths of Fishponds Road and Blackthorn Road, Northampton as set out below.

LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: Fishponds Road – from Inglewood Court to Fieldmill Road and Blackthorn Road – from Great Billing Way to Vicarage Farm Drive.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 2nd September 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that Fishponds Road will be restricted for one day and Blackthorn Road restricted for two days from 3rd September.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Fishponds Road – use Little Billing Way, Wellingborough Road and Great Billing Way; and Blackthorn Road – use Great Billing Way.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during water connection works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 3rd September 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 18th August 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during gas main works on Rushmere Road.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 18th August 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: Those lengths of The Causeway, Northampton and Station Road, Little Houghton from Billing Wharf to Billing Mill car park.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during investigation and subsequent structure works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 20th August 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during the creation of a new bell mouth, kerbing and tarmacking works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 15th August 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for up to two weeks.
