SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C698 AND C697 VARIOUS ROADS, COCKFIELD, THORPE MORIEUX AND FELSHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
C698 Chapel Road, Cockfield from Great Green to The Bungalow
C697 Great Green, Cockfield from Chapel Road to Bradfield Road
? C697 Bradfield Road, Cockfield from no. 2 to Great Green
? C697 Great Green, Cockfield from Bradfield Road to Felsham Road
C697 Great Green, Cockfield from Moat Lodge to Chapel Road
? C698 Felsham Road, Cockfield from Great Green to Felsham Road, Thorpe Morieux
? C698 Felsham Road, Thorpe Morieux from Felsham Road, Cockfield to Cockfield Road, Felsham
? C698 Cockfield Road, Felsham from Felsham Road, Thorpe Morieux to Bay Tree Cottage.
This is to facilitate the installation of fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
Great Green, Bradfield Road, Bury Road, Water Lane, the A134, the A1141, Howe Lane and vice versa
Great Green and vice versa
Bradfield Road, Bury Road, Water Lane, the A134, the A1141, Howe Lane, Chapel Road and vice versa
Great Green and vice versa
Great Green, Bradfield Road, Bury Road, Bradfield St Clare, Low Green, Lower Green, Bury Road, Bradfield St George, Hollybush Corner, Felsham Road, Drinkstone Road, Bury Road, Felsham, Upper Green, Cockfield Road, Felsham and vice versa.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
09/08/2025 - 12/08/2025
13/08/2025 - 14/08/2025
15/08/2025 - 22/08/2025
26/08/2025 - 27/09/2025
08/09/2025 - 24/09/2025.
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE A146 NORWICH ROAD, BECCLES
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A146 Norwich Road, Beccles to facilitate the repainting of road markings on the roundabout. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A146, the A145, the A12, the A1144, the A47, the A143 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/08/2025 - 10/08/2025 between 8pm - 5am (but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister)).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C483 GRACECHURCH STREET, DEBENHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C483 Gracechurch Street, Debenham from no. 55 for 30 metres south westbound to facilitate a new power connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1077, Ipswich Road, Kenton Road, Winston, The Green, Pettaugh Road, Stonham Road, Pettaugh, the A1120 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/08/2025 - 22/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1152 WILFORD BRIDGE, MELTON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1152 Wilford Bridge, Melton from the junction with Melton Road to the roundabout with Orford Road to facilitate skirting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1152, the A12, the A1094, the B1069, the B1078, the B1069, the A1152 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/08/2025 - 22/08/2025 8pm - 5am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C411 FISHPONDS LANE, HOLBROOK
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C411 Fishponds Lane, Holbrook from Long Piece to Clement House to facilitate a new electrical service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Back Hill, the B1080 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/08/2025 - 22/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
