What is happening?

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(PARK LODGE LANE, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 241) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Park Lodge Lane, Wakefield for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Park Lodge Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Park Lodge Lane, Linton Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th August 2025 at 19.00 hours to 23.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(STANLEY ROAD, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 242) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Stanley Road, Wakefield for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Stanley Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Park Lodge Lane, Shepley Street, Greenwood Road, Stanley Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th August 2025 at 19.00 hours to 23.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(AGBRIGG ROAD, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 243) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Agbrigg Road, Wakefield opposite number 23. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Agbrigg Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Agbrigg Road, Doncaster Road, Barnsley Road, Agbrigg Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th August 2025 at 21.00 hours to 20th August 2025 at 01.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(FOOTPATH 9, STATION ROAD, NORMANTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER (NO 245) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to allow for construction of roads and drainage to new housing development to be carried out on or near Footpath 9, Station Road, Normanton, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, has made an Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of public footpath.

Alternative route for pedestrians: N/A.

The order comes into operation on 18th August 2025 to 18th February 2026.

(DENBY DALE ROAD, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 255) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to excavate on behalf of Northern Powergrid, essential upgrade to infrastructure to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Denby Dale Road, Wakefield for approximately 280 metres opposite Raines House and Sainsbury’s car park, the lane coming away from the roundabout. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Denby Dale Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Denby Dale Road, Ings Road, Charlesworth Way & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st September 2025 at 08.00 hours to 12th September 2025 at 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(POTTER AVENUE, LUPSET)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 261) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for micro surfacing programme September 25 to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Potter Avenue, Lupset. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Potter Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd September 2025 to 9th September 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WOOLLEY LOW MOOR LANE, WOOLLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 262) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to install sub duct into existing fibre infrastructure as part of fibre to the home scheme to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Woolley Low Moor Lane, Woolley for approximately 160 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Woolley Low Moor Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: High Street, Fishpond Lane, Stoney Lane, Wood Lane, Barnsley Road, New Road, High Street, Church Street, Woolley Edge Lane, Intake Lane, Stoney Lane, Fishpond Lane, High Street, Cliff Road.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st September 2025 at 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

(WRENTHORPE ROAD, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 264) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for utility repair and maintenance works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Wrenthorpe Road, Wakefield between the junction of Bradford Road and the junction of Windsor Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Wrenthorpe Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Wrenthorpe Road, Bradford Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 29th August 2025 to 12th September 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(RADCLIFFE ROAD, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 265) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for verge management, hardening & footway surfacing to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Radcliffe Road, Wakefield, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Radcliffe Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Radcliffe Road, Townley Road, Waterton Road, Manor Haigh Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st September 2025 to 12th December 2025, road closed Monday to Friday 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours, open at all other times, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Pedestrian access maintained at all times, residents access maintained when safe to do so.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BACK LANE, WOOLLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 267) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for micro surfacing programme September 25 to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Back Lane, Woolley. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Back Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: New Road, High Street, Church Road.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 2nd September 2025 to 4th September 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
