A46 Trunk Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic For Half Marathon Event

THE A46 TRUNK ROAD (ELSTON, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE) (NEWARK HALF MARATHON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the A46 Trunk Road, at Elston, in the County of Nottinghamshire, to enable the Newark Half Marathon event to take place.
The effect of the Order will be to close any link road leading to or from the A46, to or from Lodge Lane, at Elston. These measures are in place for the interests of road safety while the Outlaw Newark Half Marathon is held.
It is expected that the measures will be in operation for four hours between 08:30 hours and 12:30 hours on Sunday 17 August 2025. The Order will come into force on Sunday 17th August 2025 and have a maximum duration of 3 days.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes will be exempt from the closures.
Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A46 will be signed.
