Fayreway - Temporary Road Closure To Pole Replacement Works

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Fayreway

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Fayreway - from the junction with Honeymead to the junction with West Lane. A total distance of 281 metres.

This Order will enable National Grid to carry out pole replacement and overhead reconductoring works.

The Order becomes effective on 28th August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 4th September 2025 and last until 5th September 2025 between the hours of 21:00 - 06:00 for a total of 1 night.
