Swindon - Temporary Road Closures due to Utility and Infrastructure Works

What is happening?

SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL

SECTION 14 – THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make following orders:

1. (STR0010095 Pentylands Lane, Highworth) This Order is being introduced for SSEN and will impose a prohibition of driving on Pentylands Lane outside Everslea. Traffic to be diverted via A417, A361, A419 and A429. The Order comes into force on the 26 August 2025 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 26 to 28 August 2025.

2. (STR001176 Nightingale Lane, South Marston) This Order is being introduced for FOUL CONNECTION WORKS and will impose a prohibition of driving on Nightingale Lane. Access for residents and businesses to be maintained. The Order comes into force on the 29 September 2025 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 29 September and 13 October 2025.

3. (STR001119 Churchway, Blunsdon) This Order is being introduced for VM02 NETWORK WORKS and will impose a prohibition of driving on Churchway between Malthouse Close and Manor Close. Traffic to be diverted via West Hill, Ivy Lane, Hunts Hill, High Street and vice versa. The Order comes into force on the 8 September 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place between 8 and 26 September 2025.
