Bretby Lane, Bretby / Knights Lane - Temporary Road Closure For Installation Of Telecoms Apparatus
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
BRETBY LANE, BRETBY / KNIGHTS LANE, REPTON
WHEN: 01 September to 12 September 2025 (09:30 to 15:30)
WHERE: Bretby Lane, Bretby from a point approx. 785m east of its Jct. with Oldicote Lane covering Bretby Lane and Knights Lane to its Jct. with Hartshorne Road. The closure will be undertaken on a rolling basis.
REASON: To facilitate installation of telecoms apparatus.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hartshorne Road, Main Street, High Street, B5008: Burton Road / Repton Road / Newton Road, A511 Ashby Road, Bretby Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
