Steart Road - Temporary Road Closure To Install Ducting

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Steart Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Steart Road - from the junction with Main Street, southwards for a total distance of 55 metres.

This Order will enable G A Doble to install ducting for electrical connections.

The Order becomes effective on 28th August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 8th September 2025 and last until 3rd October 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 26 days.

Statement of Reasons for making the Order
