Ropers Terrace, Temporary Road Closure Due To Sewer Works
What is happening?
The County Council of Durham (Ropers Terrace, Trimdon Grange) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025
The Council on 1/8/2025 made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following length of road. A 46 metre length of Ropers Terrace, Trimdon Grange to the rear of Numbers 1 to 8 Ropers Terrace to enable sewer repair works to be undertaken.
Throughout the period of the closure no alternative diversion will be available to vehicular traffic.
The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 8am on Monday 11/8/2025 and are anticipated to be completed in 5 days. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
