Haverigg, Temporary Prohibhition Of Traffic Due To Maintenance Works

What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C4029 HAVERIGG) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable level crossing maintenance works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the C4029 Haverigg, extending for a distance of approx. 20m either side of the centre line of Haverigg Level Crossing.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C4029, U4084 and A5093. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 373 3736 or via the Cumberland Council website. The reference to quote is TTROC/15263.

The Order will come into operation on 30 August 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required over a 3 day period between 2100 hours and 0640 each day, as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
