What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Stoke Trister Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Stoke Trister Road - from the junction with Shaftesbury Lane, south-eastwards for a total distance of 208 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out new connection works.

The Order becomes effective on 14th August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 18th August 2025 and last until 22nd August 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.
