ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER ONLY

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees propose to make the above Order under their powers in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which, as it affects lengths of roads in the Heckmondwike, Dewsbury and Batley areas of the Kirklees district, will be to:

(i)     Prohibit the waiting of vehicles at any time on a length of Mill Road, Dewsbury

(ii)    Introduce permit holder parking places on Woodkirk Gardens, Dewsbury, for the following qualifying addresses:

1. Nos 1-57 (odds)

2. Nos 2-72 (evens)

3. Nos 67-115 (odds)

(iii)   Revoke existing No Waiting At Any Time restrictions on a length of Chellow Way, Dewsbury

(iv)   Revoke the existing No Waiting restrictions

(between 08:00 – 18:00 Mon-Sat) on a length of Barber Street, Heckmondwike

(v)    Revoke the existing prohibition of stopping on school entrance markings at Woodkirk Gardens, Dewsbury

(vi)   Modify the existing No Waiting at Any Time restrictions and No Loading (between 08:00 – 09:30 & 14:00 – 16:30) restrictions on a length of Transvaal Terrace, Batley

(vii)  Modify the existing No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on a length of Chellow Way Dewsbury

Note: There will be no changes to the existing signage or road markings on site. This update solely corrects the legal documentation.

An inspection of the above consolidation order has shown several errors in the maps covering the following sites. This amendment order is being processed to ensure that the existing lengths and restrictions on site are mirrored in the Council’s mapping system and are therefore legally enforceable.

It is stressed that there will be no amendments to the signing or lining on any of the sites.

• Barber Square

Removal of the timed waiting restriction.

•   Chellow Way

Reduction in the length of the existing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restrictions.
