What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (AS AMENDED)
PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO. 22 (PART) MARCHINGTON PARISH TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any users from proceeding along the section of Public Bridleway No 22. Marchington Parish from the County Road at Woodroffe’s Cliff to the intersection with Public Footpath No. 21 Marchington Parish for approximately 950m.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to works being carried out on or near the Bridleway. No alternative route is available.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order will come into operation on 25/8/25 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
