What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
QUAY ROAD, BRIDLINGTON

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along Quay Road, Bridlington
20 metres either side of the level crossing commencing
31 August 2025 at 22.05 hours. The reason for the
closure is to enable the proposed level crossing works,
to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent
with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated
that the works will be completed by 1 September
2025 at 05.00 hours. The alternative route for traffic
affected by the Order is via Quay Road, Springfield
Avenue, Hilderthorpe Road, Station Road, Station
Avenue, Quay Road Roundabout and vice versa.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain
open at all times to emergency services only.
The Order will commence 31 August 2025 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
