Storforth Lane - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
STORFORTH LANE, CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 31 August to 14 September 2025 (09:30 to 14:30 each day on 3 Sundays only during period).
WHERE: Storforth Lane, Chesterfield between its jct. with the A61 Derby Road to its jct. with The Green.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway repair works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clockwise - A61, Hornsbridge Interchange, A617, A617 Off slip, St Leonards Drive, B6039 Hasland Road, The Green. Anti-Clockwise - The Green, B6039 Hasland Road, A617 On slip, A617, Hornsbridge Interchange, A61.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
