Penny Lane - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
PENNCROFT LANE, CLAY CROSS
WHEN: 29 August 2025 (07:00 to 18:00)
WHERE: Penncroft Lane, Clay Cross between its Jct. with Flaxpiece Road to a point adj. property No. 34. Then in a northerly direction to a point adj. property No. 2.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway patching / resurfacing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Flaxpiece Road, Commonpiece Road, Thanet Street, Pilsley Road, Penncroft Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
