ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(CROXDEN WALK, SM4)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in Croxden Walk, from its junction with Canterbury Road to the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Croxden Walk; or
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
Whilst the restrictions specified in paragraph 2(a) above are in force, the one-way working in Crowland Walk, Cerne Road and Croxden Walk would be suspended and two-way traffic permitted.
The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Canterbury Walk, Crowland Walk and Cerne Road or vice-versa.
Nothing in the Order would apply:-
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
The Order would come into operation on Monday 1st September 2025 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed by Friday 5th September 2025. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

(ROOKWOOD AVENUE, SW20)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in Rookwood Avenue, SW20, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:–
(a) enter or proceed in Rookwood Avenue, SW20, from the southern boundary of No. 2 Rookwood Avenue to its northernmost extremity;
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
NB – the works would be carried out in 2 phases and the first phase would be cleared before the next phase is installed.
Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Rookwood Avenue is a cul-de-sac and a diversion route is not applicable.
Nothing in the Order would apply to:-
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
The Order would come into operation on Monday
1 September 2025 and the works are anticipated to be completed by Friday 26 September 2025. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

(LATIMER ROAD AND WYCLIFFE ROAD, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer rehabilitation works in Latimer Road and Wycliffe Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.
During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:–
(a) enter or proceed in:–
(i) Latimer Road, from its junction with Wycliffe Road westward to the common boundary of Nos. 34 and 36 Latimer Road;
(ii) Wycliffe Road, from the southern boundary of No. 29 Wycliffe Road northward to the common boundary of Nos. 45 and 47 Wycliffe Road;
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended.
The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

(HATFEILD CLOSE AND RAVENSBURY GROVE, CR4)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate electrical utility works in Hatfeild Close, CR4, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road and in Ravensbury Grove.
During the works, no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Hatfeild Close, CR4, from its junction with Ravensbury Grove north-westward for a distance of 18 metres; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in:–
(i) Hatfeild Close, from its junction with Ravensbury Grove north-westward for a distance of 32 metres;
(ii) Ravensbury Grove, the north-west side, from the south-western kerb-line of Hatfeild Close, south-westward for a distance of 20 metres,
(c) enter or proceed on the footways adjacent the length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above. (The footways would be closed on an alternating basis)
Hatfeild Close is a cul-de-sac and a diversion route is not applicable.
The restrictions and suspension would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
Nothing in this Order would apply:-
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works;
(e) so as to prevent pedestrian access to properties adjacent to the length of footway specified in sub-paragraph 2(c) above.
The Order would come into force on Monday 18th August 2025 and the works are anticipated to be completed on Friday 19th September 2025. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.
