What is happening?

NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 121 IN THE COMMUNITY OF MOLD RURAL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025

The above Order came into force from the 14th February 2025 for a period of 6 months, until and including 13th August 2025, on the grounds of public safety due to the likelihood of danger to the public during adjacent construction works.

The Order was necessary to facilitate development approved by the Welsh Government under Planning Reference 3211582.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the period of the closure has been extended by the Welsh Government until 13th February 2026.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding in that length of Public Footpath No. 121 in the Community of Mold Rural from a point near the entrance of Glasfryn, Loggerheads to a point near the junction with Public Footpath No. 16.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be via NGR 325805 362158 through the adjacent field to join an existing footpath.

The closure is necessary to facilitate development and associated works by Lovel Partnerships.

There is an alternative route available.

(SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT NO. 06) ORDER 2025

A5026 Lloc

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 6th August 2025, Flintshire County Council made an Order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which is to amend The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023 (“the 2023 Order”), so as to impose:

  • A speed limit of 30mph on:

    A5026 Lloc

    From its junction with the A5151 roundabout to a point 40 metres north west of its junction with the A5026 near Lloc Service Station.

In all other respects the present provisions of the Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023 will remain in force.

A copy of the Order may be examined during normal office hours at County Hall, Mold and at www.flintshire.gov.uk. If you wish to question the validity of the Order, the Order which council has made or the validity of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or any Instrument made under it has not been complied with, you may, within six weeks from the 6th August 2025 apply to the High Court for the purpose.

(SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT NO. 08) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 6th August 2025, Flintshire County Council made an Order in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which is to amend The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023, so as to impose:

  • A speed limit of 30mph on:

    A5119 Aber Road

    From a point approximately 41 metres west of its junction with Earl Street, to its junction with the A548, Flint.

Parc Aber Park Industrial Estate, Flint

From its junction with the A5119 Aber Road to the junction of London Road, Flint.

In all other respects the present provisions of the Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023 will remain in force.

A copy of the Order and Plan may be examined during usual office hours from the 15th September 2025, plans showing the road affected can be found on the Council’s website: www.flintshire.gov.uk. If you are unable to access or require a copy of the documents you may email: trafficregulation@flintshire.gov.uk or by calling 01352 701234. If any person desires to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, they may within six weeks from the 6th August 2025 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
