What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS  IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of St Johns Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Cowper Road south eastwards, north eastwards and eastwards to its junction with Beechfield Road, a distance of approximately 384m.

An alternative route will be via St Johns Road, Fishery Road, A4251 London Road, A4146 Station Road and St Johns Road.

2.  that length of Kingsland Road/Wharf Road/Horsecroft Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Hemel Hempstead Public Footpath No.086 south eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 600m.

An alternative route will be via Kingsland Road, Fishery Road and Horsecroft Road.

3.  that length of Anchor Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Johns Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m. An alternative route will be via St Johns Road, Beechfield Road and Anchor Lane.

4.  that length of St Johns Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Cowper Road north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Green End Road/Northridge Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 263m.

An alternative route will be via St Johns Road, Anchor Lane,Beechfield Road, Anchor Lane, Heath Lane, Lockers Park Lane, Bury Hill, Lockers Park Lane, Warners End Road and Northridge Way.

5.  that length of Thorne Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Johns Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

6.  that length of Cowper Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Johns Road northwards for a distance of approximately 20m. An alternative route will be via St Johns Road, Green End Road, Alston Road, Grosvenor Terrace and Cowper Road.

7.  that length of Puller Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Johns Road northwards for a distance of approximately 20m. An alternative route will be via St Johns Road, Green End Road, Alston Road, Grosvenor Terrace and Puller Road.

8.  that length of Sebright Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Johns Road northwards for a distance of approximately 20m. An alternative route will be via St Johns Road, Green End Road, Alston Road, Grosvenor Terrace and Sebright Road.

9.  that length of Wharf Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Johns Road south westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B489 LOWER ICKNIELD WAY, WILSTONE GREEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B489 Lower Icknield Way, Wilstone Green from its junction with Tring Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 324m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B489 Lower Icknield Way, Tringford Road, B488 Icknield Way, The Holloway and B489 Lower Icknield Way. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGHFIELD ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Highfield Road, Berkhamsted from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.26 Highfield Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Highfield Road, A4251 High Street, Victoria Road and Highfield Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LONG LANE, BOVINGDON) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Long Lane, Bovingdon from its junction with Hunters Close south westwards to its junction with Redling Drive, a distance of approximately 465m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Long Lane, Bovingdon Green, Green Lane, Chipperfield Lane, Flaunden Lane, Hogpits Bottom and Long Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING

RESTRICTIONS IN LITTLE TRING ROAD, TRING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of Little Tring

Road, Tring from its junction with Tring Rural Public Footpath No.059 south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 200m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Little Tring Road, B489 Lower Icknield Way, Tringford Road, B488 Icknield Way and Little Tring Road. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BOUNDARY WAY AND THREE

CHERRY TREES LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-

1. that length of Boundary Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Three Cherry Trees Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 125m.

An alternative route will be via Three Cherry Trees Lane, Cherry Tree Lane, Green Lane and Boundary Way.

2.  that length of Three Cherry Trees Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Swallowdale Lane south eastwards to its junction with Boundary Way, a distance of approximately 327m.

An alternative route will be via Swallowdale Lane, A4147 Maylands

Avenue, A414 Breakspear Way, Buncefield Lane and Boundary Way. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BULSTRODE LANE, BOVINGDON) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bulstrode Lane, Bovingdon from a point in line with the northern boundary of ‘Broadacre’ south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 60m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Bulstrode Lane, Flaunden Lane, Tower Hill, Chipperfield Road and Bulstrode Lane. The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CORNER HALL, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Corner Hall, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Lawn Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 61m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Lawn Lane, A414 Two Waters Road and Corner Hall.

The Order is needed because sewer cleaning works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN PIMLICO,

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, CHIPPERFIELD, FLAMSTEAD, ALDBURY,

BOVINGDON, SARRATT AND TRING AND WILSTONE GREEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1.  that length of Hyde Lane, Pimlico from its junction with Bedmond Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 643m.

An alternative route will be via Bedmond Road, Bunkers Lane, Lower Road and Hyde Lane.

2.  that length of Green Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A414 Breakspear Way roundabout south westwards to its junction with Micklefield Road, a distance of approximately 778m.

An alternative route will be via A414 Breakspear Way, A4147

(Leverstock Green Way/Leverstock Green Road) and Green Lane. 3. that length of The Common, Chipperfield from its junction with Bucks Hill north westwards to its junction with The Street, a distance of approximately 1018m.

An alternative route will be via Bucks Hill, Toms Hill, Chandlers Lane, Redhall Lane, Sarratt Road, Dimmocks Lane, The Green, Poles Hill, Dunny Lane and The Street.

4. that length of Trowley Hill Road, Flamstead from its junction with Trowley Bottom north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with White Hill, a distance of approximately 197m.

An alternative route will be via Trowley Bottom and White Hill. 5. that length of Toms Hill Road/Kiln Road, Aldbury from its junction with Station Road south eastwards, south westwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with B4506 New Road, a distance of approximately 1874m.

An alternative route will be via Station Road, Trooper Road, New Ground Road, A4251 (Tring Road/High Street) and B4506 New Road.

6.  that length of B4505 Chesham Road, Bovingdon from its junction with Molyneaux Avenue south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 986m. An alternative route will be via B4505 (Chesham Road/

Hempstead Road/Box Lane), A4251 (London Road/High Street), A416 (Kings Road/Kingshill Way/Chesham Road/Ashley Green Road/Nashleigh Hill/Berkhampstead Road/Broad Street) and B4505 (Eskdale Avenue/Lye Green Road/Orchard Leigh/ Rushmere Lane/Chesham Road).

7.  that length of Fields End Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Boxted Road south westwards to its junction with Pouchen End Lane, a distance of approximately 537m. An alternative route will be via Boxted Road, Berkhamsted Road and Pouchen End Lane.

8.  that length of The Green, Sarratt from its junction with Moor Lane north eastwards to its junction with Poles Hill, a distance of approximately 774m.

An alternative route will be via The Green, Dimmocks Lane,

Sarratt Road, Redhall Lane, Chandlers Lane, Toms Hill, Bucks Hill, The Common, The Street, Dunny Lane and Poles Hill.

9.  that length of B489 Lower Icknield Way, Tring/Wilstone Green from its junction with the Wingrave Road/Tringford Road roundabout south westwards, north westwards, south westwards, north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 2098m.

An alternative route will be via B489 (Lower Icknield Way/ unnamed road/Marsworth Road), B488 (Church Road/unnamed road/Upper Icknield Way/Bulbourne Road/Icknield Way), B4009 (Tring Hill/Upper Icknield Way/Tring Road/Aylesbury Road), A413

(Wendover Road/Stoke Road/Walton Street), A41 (Exchange Street/High Street/Tring Road/Aston Clinton Road/unnamed road) and B489 Lower Icknield Way or via B489 Lower Icknield Way, A41 (unnamed road/Aston Clinton Road/Tring Road/High Street/

Exchange Street), A413 (Walton Street/Wendover Road), B4009

(Aylesbury Road/Tring Road/Upper Icknield Way/Tring Hill), B488 (Icknield Way/Bulbourne Road/Upper Icknield Way/unnamed road/Church Road) and B489 (Marsworth Road/unnamed road/ Lower Icknield Way).

10. that length of Flaunden Lane, Bovingdon from its junction with Chipperfield Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 910m.

An alternative route will be via Chipperfield Road, High Street, B4505 (Hempstead Road/Box Lane), A4251 London Road, Felden Lane and Flaunden Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
