What is happening?

 THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

BOOTHFERRY ROAD LEVEL CROSSING, GOOLE

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Boothferry Road Level Crossing, Goole and five metres either side of the level crossing commencing 12 September 2025 at 20.00 hours until 15 September 2025 at 05.00 hours for the purposes of installation of URX works. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within four days.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Boothferry Road, Mariners Street,

Coronation Street, Stanhope Street, Lower Bridge Street, A161 Normandy Way, A161 Tom Pudding Way, A161 Rawcliffe Bridge East Roundabout, A614 Rawcliffe Bridge, Airmyn Road, Centenary Road and Pasture Road, Goole CP, Goole South Ward, Goole North Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
