c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

2. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 11 August 2025 and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14

AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

BECKETT AVENUE & FOXLEY ROAD, KENLEY

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

 

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works by SGN, they have made an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Beckett Avenue and Foxley Road, Kenley.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place the entire lengths of Beckett Avenue and Foxley Road will be closed on the dates below:

• Foxley Road – from 11 August 2025 to 01 September 2025

• Beckett Avenue – from 11 August 2025 to 05 September 2025

3. During the closure, vehicular traffic will be diverted as detailed below.

• Foxley Road closure: Via Beckett Avenue, Cullesden Road, Firs Road, and Park Road.

• Beckett Avenue closure: Via Cullesden Road, Firs Road, Park Road, and Foxley Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 11 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed as detailed above. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.

(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

6. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH 3

(EXTENDING BETWEEN BOURNE VIEW, AND LONGWOOD ROAD, KENLEY)

INCLUDING THE FOOTPATH LEVEL CROSSING

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works by Network Rail to install a warning light system and audible alarm on the footpath level crossing, they have made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian movements on Public Footpath No.30 (extending between Bourne View and Longwood Road, Kenley).

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Public Footpath 30 will be closed either side of the footpath level crossing.

3. During the closure, the alternative route for pedestrians will be via Valley Road (towards Kenley Station), across the railway line via Hayes Lane road-over-rail bridge, and south on the A22, Godstone Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 11 August 2025, and the Order will remain in force for 6 months to be reintroduced if further work is necessary.

5. Nothing in this Order shall apply to anyone carrying out the said work, or to anything done for police, ambulance, or fire brigade purposes or with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

BRIGHTON ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas works by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Brighton Road, South Croydon.

2. During the work the cycle lane on the west side of Brighton Road will be closed between the common boundaries of Nos. 110 and 112 Brighton Road and the common boundary of Gardiner Court, Nos. 118 – 124 Brighton Road and No. 126 Brighton Road.

3. Whilst the closure remains in force cyclists will be required to dismount and use the footway.

4. The Order will come into operation on 11 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 24 August 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
