Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders:-

The Isle of Wight Council (Barfield, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Monday 18 August 2025, and Friday 29 August 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Barfield, Ryde, From its junctions with Park Road and its junction with Vernon Square. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Carriageway repairs.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Tuesday 19 August 2025, and Friday 20 August 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Osborne Road, Shanklin, From its junctions with Eastcliff Promenade and its junction with Queens Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Drainage excavation.

The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Ironwork repair.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1900 hours on Tuesday 19 August 2025 until 0600 hours on Wednesday 20 August 2025, or when the works have been completed, Newport Road will be closed between its junction with Church Lane and Siemens access road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 18 August 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 24 October 2025, or when the works have been completed, Forest Road will be closed between its junction with Winford Road and Forest Dell. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 18 August 2025 until 1800 hours on Monday 27 October 2025, or when the works have been completed, Copse Lane will be closed between its junction with Norton Green and Redlake Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1000 hours on Saturday 16 August 2025 and 1800 hours on Sunday 17 August 2025, or when the event has finished, a one-way restriction will be introduced as follows:

a) Hale Common, Arreton, in north?westerly direction, between its junctions with Winford Road, Newchurch and Watery Lane, Newchurch;

b) Watery Lane, Newchurch, in an easterly direction, for its entire length;

c) Winford Road, Newchurch, in a southerly direction, between its junctions with Watery Lane and Hale Common, Arreton.

The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for safety during the Garlic Festival event.

No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Weston Lane, Totland, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2025 – Weston Lane will be closed for its entire length.
• The Isle of Wight Council (Barfield, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Barfield, Ryde will be closed for its entire length.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0600 hours on Wednesday 20 August 2025 until 2330 hours on Thursday 21 August 2025, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along:

1. Esplanade for its entire length;
2. High Street between its junctions with Esplanade and Circular Road.

   This order is required in the interests of road safety during the Seaview Regatta Event. Alternative routes will be signposted locally.

The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Carriageway Repair Works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Wednesday 13 August 2025, and Friday 15 August 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Priory Road, Carisbrooke, From its junctions with School Lane, and its junction with Priory Farm Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Carriageway Repair Works.
