ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF ALL OF TOM PUDDING WAY, ALBERT STREET, NORMANDY WAY AND BRIDGE STREET, GOOLE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following part of A161 Tom Pudding Way, Goole northbound only between Capitol Park Roundabout and A63 Rawcliffe Road East Roundabout commencing 12 September 2025 until 16 September 2025 between 19.00 hours until 05.00 hours for the purposes of carriageway improvement/patching works.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via A614 Rawcliffe Road East Roundabout, A614 Rawcliffe Road, Anderson Street, A161 Tom Pudding Way and A161 Capitol Park Roundabout, Airmyn CP, Goole CP, Goole South Ward, Snaith, Airmyn, Rawcliffe and Marshland Ward.
Temporary Traffic Regulation Order for the closure of Part of Albert Street, Goole from its junction with Bridge Street westbound for approximately 20 metres commencing 12 September 2025 until 16 September 2025 between 22.00 hours until 05.00 hours for the purposes of carriageway improvement/patching works.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: N/A (no through road).
Temporary Traffic Regulation Order for the closure of Part of A161 Normandy Way, Goole westbound lane of the carriageway from its junction with Bridge Street for a distance of approximately 50 metres and part of A161 Bridge Street, Goole northbound lane of the carriageway from its junction with Albert Street to its junction with A161 Normandy Way commencing 12 September 2025 until 16 September 2025 between 22.00 hours until 05.00 hours for the purposes of carriageway improvement/patching works.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via A161 Bridge Street, Lower Bridge
Street, Stanhope Street, Clock Tower Roundabout, A161 Normandy Way and A161 Bridge Street, Airmyn CP, Goole CP, Goole South Ward, Snaith, Airmyn, Rawcliffe and Marshland Ward.
The road closures are necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within five nights. The diversion routes will be signed at the time of closure. The roads will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
