What is happening?
BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE (HOWARD STREET, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Howard Street from its junction with Heights Lane in a Easterly direction for a distance of 115 metres
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Howard Street from its junction with Heights Lane in a Easterly direction for a distance of 115 metres.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe completion of Carriageway repairs within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 09:30 until 15:30 daily from the 18th August 2025 to the 22nd August 2025.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Sheriff Street, Spotland Road, St Marys Gate, Whitworth Road & vice versa.
(WITLEY ROAD, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Witley Road from its junction with Milnrow Road for a distance of 61 metres
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Witley Road from its junction with Milnrow Road for a distance of 61 metres.
The Order is required to facilitate gas main within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 on the 19th August 2025 until 23:59 on the 8th September 2025.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Milnrow Road, Church Road, Channing Street, Grafton Street, Waithlands Road & vice versa.
(OLDHAM ROAD, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Oldham Road from its junction with Thornham Lane in a Northerly direction for a distance of 500 metres
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Oldham Road from its junction with Oldham Road, Rochdale direction for a distance of 500 metres.
The Order is required to facilitate Resurfacing within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 09:30 hours until 15:30 hours and should take 1 day between the dates of 14th August to the 21st August 2025 weather dependent.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Oldham Road, Shaw Road, Castleton Road, Narrowgate Brow, Fir Lane, Dogford Road, Rochdale Road & vice versa.
(DRAKE STREET, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF LIMITED WAITING PARKING BAY & PROHIBITION OF NO WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily; Prohibit vehicles from Waiting or loading at anytime on Drake Street from its junction with Milkstone Road to its junction with Vicars Drive for a distance of 60 metres in both directions.
(i) Suspend (part of) the Borough of Rochdale ((Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008
Schedule No. 9.18 On Street Permit Parking Place (24 hours) Drake Street, Milkstone & Deeplish Ward (i) the south side from a point 43 metres west of its junction with Milkstone Road for a distance of 6 metres in a westerly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate excavation of a joint bay within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 07:00 on the 16th August 2025 to 19:00 the 17th August 2025.
(OLD ROAD, LITTLEBOROUGH (2)) (TEMPORARY INTRODUCTION OF ONE-WAY WORKING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily introduce one-way working along Old Road from a point 27 metres west of its junction with Smithy Bridge Road to its junction with South View Terrace prohibiting vehicles travelling in an easterly direction, in so far as vehicles travelling in a westerly direction will not be affected.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe replacement of a damaged BT pole.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 on the 15th August 2025 until 17:00 on the 15th August 2025.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Old Road, Calliards Road, South View Road, Smithy Bridge Road & vice versa.
